    | Would recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the class because it was very informative and I feel the knowledge I gained helped me look at our planet differently.

    Course highlights:

I learned how volcanoes may form in the water and slowly spout up to create islands in the sea and also how a hot spot can move as the tectonic plates move making a trail of islands.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest that you form a study group with a few classmates. That way the knowledge is reinforced.

    | Would recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It's a great GPA boost as well as a good environmental awareness class.

    Course highlights:

A good majority of the world lacks the requirements for defending against natural disasters. The earth is constantly bombarded with meteors.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This is an information-based course vs an application-based course. Memorization is king, but most of the information will be common knowledge.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The information is very dry ,so if you have trouble staying focused, don't take this course. The information received during lecture is plentiful and sometimes it is hard to discern what matters for the tests which becomes problematic when it comes time for studying.

    Course highlights:

I learned about Alfred Wegner and his role in plate tectonics.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

    Don't underestimate this class.
