The course gives a very good understanding of the concept of financial and managerial accounting. The Professor teaches well, emphasizes practical application of all that he teaches, and is interested in students' success.
Understanding of accounting as a procedure that leads to a product. I gained valuable insight into the overall purpose of preparing and presenting financial statements, and how this process is influenced by the fact that these statements serve different purposes for different end-users. Now I can read and analyze financial statements, and my managerial skills have been improved by the concepts learned under managerial accounting.

It is very beneficial to read ahead of the classes. This gives an idea of the concepts to be taught and helps know which questions to ask. Practicing questions from the textbook also helps to master the different types of accounting procedures.
