    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor give exams that are designed to take longer than the time allotted to weed out students.

    Course highlights:

    Basic computer architecture and assembly.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do well on the first exam, be able to convert from/ to hex / decimal / binary. Half the exam is converting values which is time consuming.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Difficult exams, average is 50-60 but curves generously at the end of the semester. Read after every class, be handy with bin, hex conversions. 60% of the first exam is based on that. The final project is 30% of the group and he does give 100/100 for some projects, but choose your team wisely.

    Course highlights:

    MIPS language, computer architecture basics

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Written notes are allowed for the exams, highly recommended to study after each class
