    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this class because Professor Rouse is not only great at explaining and helping us understand each disorder, but his genuine care for his students is not difficult to point out. With this class not taking place in a huge lecture hall, it definitely helps build community with the classmates around you, along with the professor himself. Also, do not be afraid to ask questions! This class is required for freshmen especially, so a lot of this information may be new to you. Professor Rouse is extremely understandable and will not judge you for any question you may have.

    Course highlights:

I not only learned the disorders in the disabled realm, I was able to explore them with a Christian perspective -- something I would not be able to experience if I went to another university. From reading the required books for this course, to having Christian viewpoints implemented in lectures, I was able to gain a whole new viewpoint on something that I have increasingly grown passionate about.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do the reading! Reading the textbook and taking detailed notes on them are extremely helpful and will be in the long run. Professor Rouse also includes a study guide that tells you exactly what to pay more attention to while reading.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a great course that allows students to understand different types of human disabilities and why they are important.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to avoid stigmatizing people with disabilities. I also learned about different careers out there, such as Speech Language Pathologists and more, that help people with disabilities.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend doing all of the assigned reading to be prepared for the quizzes.
