    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Johnson carefully outlines the complexities of Organic Chemistry at a reasonable pace while coloring his lectures with humor and application.

    Course highlights:

The lab sections are an great opportunities to learn hands-on while bonding with your classmates. The subject is notoriously difficult, but I learned that embracing the challenge early on and staying caught up with the material will keep you afloat. Approaching this class with last-minute study tactics will almost surely put you in hot water.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Understand that no class before this really prepares you for O Chem. Your baseline intuition and knowledge will not be enough to fall back on reliably, and much like learning a new language it is something you have to begin building from the beginning. As you dive deeper, the foundational knowledge you build in the beginning will become increasingly important for further application. Stay on top of it early because catching up has never been harder!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Amazing professor. Does a great job at incorporating God into chemistry. He does not stress you out in possibly the hardest subject you will encounter in college. He is more than willing to provide help in anyway you need. It will be a difficult course, but he is right along side of you to assist in it.

    Course highlights:

I worked harder in this course than any other I have taken in college. My professor made me want to work hard because of his love for the subject. After completing the series I felt capable and intelligent, like I could work hard and master something.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with the course work. Study daily.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was very challenging, but the only way I was able to conquer this course was by going to every tutoring session and doing all the homework. If you do not do your homework or ask for help you will be in big trouble.

    Course highlights:

The material was actually really fun to learn, and doing the homework problems was like solving a puzzle.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY STUDY and STUDY some more, oh and do your homework because it helps a lot!
