    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This was definitely a very difficult course. Any O Chem class will be. Dr. Savage was an incredible professor though. His tests are very difficult, but he is an awesome teacher, and he truly cares about the students. He wants to challenge you, but he wants you to succeed.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Savage focuses a lot on every day application of the things that you're learning. He always wants you to understand why what you're learning is important. I learned a lot about mechanisms in the human body and in materials around me. It was really cool.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Get a friend to study with! That's huge. I was taking it with my roommate and that helped so much!

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is very time demanding. A lot of memorization is involved. Dr. Peterson's class is straight from the book, so if you study the Ochem textbook like it's your bible, you should be good.

    Course highlights:

The first test was not that bad. I learned a lot of how drugs work in our body and solubility as well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you take the book seriously and write down notes.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course requires you to do much of the learning on your own time. In class the general rules are taught, but he tests are on all the exceptions to the rules. Hear are not taught in class, but though individual study.

    Course highlights:

It was a fascinating challenge to piece together reactions in a new way to get the compound you needed.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you have a hard time picturing things in your head get a molecular model set.
