    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It wasn't necessarily the easiest class and I haven't always been super interested in US history but Dr. Hodson is very skilled at teaching. His lectures are clear, organized, and straightforward. He keeps you engaged and interested. The tests are tough but not if you put in a good amount of effort and take good notes. He grades generously on the essays and gives great advice on them.

    Course highlights:

I loved that Dr. Hodson brought new perspectives to the course. I think what always turned me off about US History was it was sometimes uber-patriotic and tended to just skim over anything that didn't make our history seem good. But Dr. Hodson didn't do that. We spent the majority of the course actually talking about Native American history which I found to be refreshing and critical to understanding US History.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay caught up on the readings. Don't fall behind.
