Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class is fairly time consuming. But it is needed when understanding anything that has to do with business. I loved being able to understand how the financial world works!

    Course highlights:

I now understand finance and business a little better. Clearly not 100%, it is "Principles of Accounting." But because of this class I understand what people are talking about when they use words like "Balance Sheet" or "debit my account."

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't fall behind. It is fairly easy to do good. But you need to put the time in. Don't be afraid to go into the TA lab. They know what they are talking about and are happy to help. After all, they are getting paid to be there!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I learned the basics of accounting, which i feel is important to know if going into anything business related.

    Course highlights:

I worked mostly on my own schedule and learned that visiting the material just once a week is not enough, no matter how long you visit it for.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do a little bit of work every day

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a requirement for my major however, I believe that all students should have to take this class. It opened my eyes to how to account for my expenses, how to budget. It opened my eyes to what to do to start my own business. I learned many important things that will help me be better prepared for managing accounts at businesses where I will one day work.

    Course highlights:

The professor is one of the best highlights! She loves accounting so much and really wants the students to love the material. She makes each class exciting and you want to attend. We spent most of the semester on financial accounting and then the last two month on managerial accounting.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are going to take this class give it your all! Don't be half in and half out or you will not do very well and you won't fully enjoy it. Take the time to really understand that material. The material you learn can be applied to your life as you go through college and will help even more as you enter the business world.
