Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Stice is a great professor! He knows the material really well and he is passionate about it, which generates excitement for students. There's a good balance between in class and out of class learning.

    Course highlights:

I loved this class because it is basic money management. Helpful in personal life and if you ever work for finances in a company or start your own company!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Find a good group to study with. Especially if you have a hard time understanding, find someone else who can explain it more for you. Go to the accounting lab. And take the time to try to explain it to someone because that's the best way to learn it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it gives you a solid foundation to help you understand the basics of accounting, whether or not you end up majoring in it. It will serve you well even if you end up pursuing a degree in the medical field because accounting is everywhere.

    Course highlights:

A great part of the class is that you have software with prerecorded video lectures instead of reading, so you can speed up the things you understand and slow down for the things you need to review again. You can also listen to the videos at double speed, so you don't have to waste time, provided you can keep up with what the videos are saying. You learn the basics of accounting, which is useful knowledge for anyone.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Accounting takes a little getting used to. You have to learn a new vocabulary and you have to learn a new way of thinking about money. Lots of people struggle with it, but keep pushing through until it clicks, and you'll have valuable knowledge and understanding that will benefit you throughout your life.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class is fairly time consuming. But it is needed when understanding anything that has to do with business. I loved being able to understand how the financial world works!

    Course highlights:

I now understand finance and business a little better. Clearly not 100%, it is "Principles of Accounting." But because of this class I understand what people are talking about when they use words like "Balance Sheet" or "debit my account."

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't fall behind. It is fairly easy to do good. But you need to put the time in. Don't be afraid to go into the TA lab. They know what they are talking about and are happy to help. After all, they are getting paid to be there!
