    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class kicks you in the pants in a major way, especially over spring term. It's intense and has a lot of reading and a steep learning curve for those who haven't worked very much with matlab. But it really teaches you how to work hard and think critically about what your doing, especially as you do the lab reports and prepare for the exams.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning about the spectroscopy section, super interesting. The statistical analysis portion was not my favorite, but i can definitely see the value in it if you're going into research or science. Matlab was an amazing tool and I'm glad I was able to become for familiar with it.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Block out some time. Don't expect to see friends or family for a while. Go get help from the TA's, and make sure that you're not the one in your lab group riding off everybody else.
