    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class is great if you are interested in plants and how they relate to our everyday life. That being said, if you are not interested in that, and are not a self-motivated student, you may come to dread this class.

    Course highlights:

This course was very beneficial for me in the fact that it provided me with a great foundational knowledge of how plants work and function and how they play a role in my daily life.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class and contact that professor and TAs for extra help. They are very willing to help you, but you have to make the first effort!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I took the class to avoid taking a real biology class, but it ended up being both too easy and strangely difficult as the course went on.

    Course highlights:

Professor Stevens is certainly very passionate about his subject, which is always fun. I did learn a lot on the course material, especially in how it applies to actually caring for plants.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take this class if you want to go on to be in the major this is an intro course for. If you need a biology credit, maybe consider something else.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course has a lot of homework. It's a good general introduction, but the professor is kind of tough. A LOT of tests (in the testing center, every other week.)

    Course highlights:

It's a general introduction to plants, covering everything from cell structure to fruit and trees.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study. The tests are harder than you'd expect, and those tests add up! Do the extra credit.
