Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Informative, easy to follow with Dr. Jensen's course packet and the TA's weekly reviews, and a fun and simple way to pass off a GE requirement.

    Course highlights:

I gained a deeper understanding of human origin, the LDS church's stance on evolution, the workings of genetics and reproduction, basic chemistry, and more! Dr. Jensen has so many ways to help you learn and remember material, and she's a lot of fun!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class!! Use the textbook and the TAs, and there is no way you won't do well.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class especially from Marci because I learned so much each class day. While it was still challenging and studying was required, it wasn't a hard class and most of the homework was done in class. I don't know if she did this every semester, but for my class and previous classes she had taught for bio 100 she did a final group project rather than a final test and we presented those projects to the class. The project was her way of creating a fun way for us to present all the knowledge we had learned through the semester and to show our understanding of what we had been taught. I felt it was more beneficial than a final test because it was fun and it caused us to research more into what we had been learning rather than trying to memorize so much information.

    Course highlights:

The final project was the highlight for me! We had to create a creature that could live in both Middle Earth from Lord of the Rings and also on Planet Earth. It was fun spend time with my group making the creature and researching and reviewing all the material we had learned in class. We learned more basic biological science since it was only a beginning biology class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay close attention in every class and make sure to really study your notes and the reading assignments before each test. The class itself is easy and you will be fine if you studied and payed attention so you don't miss anything. I also suggest that if you take the class to make friends with those in your class because you do projects and assignments in class together a lot so you want to become comfortable with those you work with to make it more enjoyable and easier to focus on what you are learning.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Gill adores biology and will give you something to be excited about in each class period! The assignments were always helpful, and I not only learned something, but was apply to apply the things that I learned in his class.

    Course highlights:

The end of course projects and the tests were always something to look forward too. The tests were always based very specifically on the things we learned in class or in our assignments. I learned about the basics of evolution, adaption, and grow and survival.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I suggest studying in a group, and being to class on time. At the beginning of class Professor Gill will go through course objectives and tell you exactly what you should know by the end of class, and if by the end of class you don't understand the course objectives, Professor Gill and his TAs are more than happy to give a hand.
