Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I give this course four stars because it is relatively easy if you are already familiar with the Spanish language and the subject matter is interesting. It's a good class to take if you're planning on studying linguistics. However, if you're not interested in linguistics, you may not find this class that interesting.
We learned how to spell things phonetically (like how they spell the pronunciation of words in a dictionary), how the Spanish language evolved from latin, and about the different pronunciation and word-use tendencies in Spanish-speaking countries.

Advice for students:
Do the reading and you'll get 100% on all the tests. Bonus: if you do manage to get 100% on all 4 midterms, you get to skip the final.
