Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was FULL of information! You can get so much interesting stuff out of it, so long as you are willing to put in the time and actually study and try to retain what you learn. You can definitely skate through it and get a passing grade, but you would be missing out on a ton of stuff. Just really try to focus on all the expectations of Raissa, because she expects a lot and it can be confusing.

    Course highlights:

Hearing a native teach you history is unlike anything else. It is just so fun to be able to sit there and understand so much! i really did learn a LOT about culture and history, and how it not only influenced the country that I lived in for two years and love, but also how it influenced the world.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Put in more time. Even 30 minutes a day would take you to the next level and you would learn an incredible amount. Keep your homework in line and review stuff often (because you WILL forget things) and you're going to learn a ton. Also, participate and make class fun. Raissa is willing to have fun and loves discussing things, but only if the students instigate it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

A wonderful course in learning more about the culture and history of Russia through beautiful, intense, heart-wrenching novels written by famous Russian novelists.

    Course highlights:

I learned to question the nature of the judgements I make. Am I judging to quickly? Who am I to judge this character when I've never been in his/her situation?

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to keep up on the reading because there's a lot of it, but it's so worth it to read every page and not use Sparknotes or other online sources in replace of the text.
