Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Blazevic is an incredible teacher to take early on in a college experience. He is very strict and will definitely teach you how to study. Because you WILL need to study, hard.

    Course highlights:

Though I did certainly learn about history, the more valuable experiences were of his experiences going through a PhD or university in general. I also learned how to study, I never had to before college.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, absolutely. Read those darn note sheets until you can recite them from memory, then study them a few more times.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I had to choose between this class and another class to fulfill a general education requirement and I am so beyond thankful that I chose this one. Dr. Young had such a passion for what he was teaching it was almost contagious.

    Course highlights:

This course focuses on the history of the United States and how the country came to be. The curriculum included information on the founding fathers and what America was like before Europeans discovered it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Listen and participate. Provide input and actively learn.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I have loved my History 1700 class with Dr. Klackle. I have loved learning how the country I live in came to be. I love seeing the time periods my parents and grandparents lived through, and figuring out how our country go through some of the hard times it has been through.

    Course highlights:

I already knew a lot about how the United States came about, but I didn't know much about the industrial and progressive eras which were really fun to learn about. I loved learning about the middle class women, known as progressives, who helped shape our country into a better place. These progressives helped get kids out of the work force and into schools, create better living conditions, and helped get rid of alcohol. This class has overall taught me a lot of cool things I didn't know about our country before.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to incoming students is to take notes of not only the power points presented, but what the professor says. It is almost more important to understand what he is saying than write down, word-for-word, what the power point says.
