Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Its a great class to help you understand a little more about everything that life is about and how it all works.

    Course highlights:

I learned about cell process and how they really work, about the different levels, and really how much everything has to work together so that we can just live.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just stay up on the studying, try to keep up and don't get behind.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

At first I thought this class was going to be useless and boring, because I am a CS major. After the first couple of days I quickly change my mind however. The lecture is very engaging and provided a whole new perspective to the world. A couple of times the professor also tied the information back into my major and made it applicable.

    Course highlights:

Microbiology was definitely the highlight of this course. Learning how food is broken down into simple molecules to be converted into ATP and eventually drive the majority of reactions in the body. Learning about the mechanisms of cells was interesting, and Dr. Davis made the section on DNA and genetic information the best part of the class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay caught up on the material and study weekly as too not overwhelm yourself when test do roll around. Ask plenty of questions if the material seems confusing. Most of my learning came from questions during class actually and attending office hours, rather than studying.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is a great course to take if you are going into a science relates degree! The teacher is really good at his job and makes the class as enjoyable as possible and there isn't an overload of busy work.

    Course highlights:

This is a general biology class so it covers multiple different biology subjects without going into all the little details. You learn a lot about cells and DNA. There are 3 or 4 big projects you have to do in the class that make up a big portion of your grade and most of them are pretty easy but do take some time.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do the assigned reading and take advantage of the professors office hours. He's willing to answer questions in class, but if you still don't understand it you have to go to his office to get more help. Study really well for the tests! If he tells you something in class there's a good chance its on the test so dont think its unimportant unless he specifically tells you it is.
