    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I took MKTG 1030 through concurrent enroll at my high school and the instructors at SLCC and their instructions were less than helpful. Some of their instructions for certain assignments were not very clear and the instructors were very difficult to get in contact with. My teacher, who should have had contact with the instructors, had a difficult time contacting them.

    Course highlights:

The course did allow me to gain a more insightful look into the facets of marketing, but I did not learn much from the course that I did not already know. I more learned the terms and various details of marketing rather than learn about strategies I did not already know about.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

It is useful to have a background knowledge in marketing, but it is not necessary. If someone does not have any background knowledge, they should do the required reading and take notes on the material.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course especially if your considering majoring in Business in college, it was a good eye opener to me and I realized that marketing might be the area for me. I still don't know for sure but it gave me a big insight on the field.

    Course highlights:

I took this as a Concurrent Enrollment class through Salt Lake Community College at Cottonwood High School. I was able to learn about all the different components of marketing. Before the class I thought all marketing was, was commercials. Through out the course I learned about the 4 P's of marketing; product, place, promotion, and price. It gave me a whole new outlook on marketing, and what it really entails.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it. Even if you aren't wanting to major in marketing it's still good to have the background knowledge. It's not a waste of time or effort, there are a few group projects which will allow you to see others perspectives and come up with more creative ideas.
