Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I have really enjoyed English 1010 this last semester, and would highly recommend it to anyone. This class has helped open up my eyes and my mind to how much we use writing in our everyday lives. It has helped me to stop and think about my audience before writing a paper, and to realize that I may not be the intended audience in some of the literature I will read in my schooling.

    Course highlights:

In this course, I learned about rhetoric, ethos, logos, and pathos. I also learned about structure, revising vs. edit process, application, threshold, and a thesis statement. English 1010 has helped me understand that writing makes things happen. Writing is a part of our everyday lives, such as emails, texts messages, proposals, road signs, etc.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

What you need to succeed in this course is an open mind. Realize that everyone is a writer, but not everyone will have something published.
