    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This professor was amazing. She broke math down in the simplest way possible. Before any test, she had study guides on line that should go over during class so you know what to study for the test. She was very good at emailing back quickly, and her grading is very fair.

    Course highlights:

I gained a better understanding of math in general. She always tried her best to apply math into the real world to help make you feel less like the class was completely pointless.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

TIME MANAGEMENT IS CRUCIAL. Her expectations are completely realistic if you manage your time accordingly.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Please note that I don't remember the name of my teacher, so I picked one that souped most familiar! I hated it both times I took it. But you have to take it no matter what major you're in.

    Course highlights:

I learned that having the proper teacher is necessary. I don't remember mush else.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My best recommendation for taking College Algebra at SLCC is to check Rate My Professor or similar site first. I took it twice and had terrible teachers both times. I wish I had checked teacher ratings first, because even with all the extra prep I did for tests and the tutoring, I got a D both times and hated my teachers.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is nice if you work full time cause of the flexibility, but you do learn on your own for the most part.

    Course highlights:

You learn more advanced math that is needed for college alegbra.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would try to work a day or two ahead so you have extra time in the tougher sections.
