    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was most difficult. We studied every corner of the mathematics spectrum.

    Course highlights:

I learned alot. Everything from the Pythagorean Theorem to the Borda count method.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to spend a lot of time in the math lab.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

While you don't have to buy the book I highly suggest you do. Its only $11.25. I also would suggest against taking the accelerated class. 8 weeks is too enough time and there is too much information.

    Course highlights:

Professor Burton is the highlight of this class. He is so organized! He is quick to return your emails and is very available. He keeps the class on track but makes it an interactive class. There is also a lot of thoughtful resources available to you.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If your major does not revolve around math I would suggest taking this class. Make sure you use the study guides and never miss a class. Note cards are the way to go with this course since it is a lot on information to memorize.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was not as intimidating as the name makes it out to be. For the "average" non-AP taking student, it was an overview of basic High School Curriculum. The professor, Jewel Beatty, is not your average professor. She is super nice, understanding and works with you. She's an awesome instructor. However, she isn't the easiest to understand. Please understand I mean this with no offense, but her speech isn't the most articulated. I mention this just because it did make it difficult, at times, to understand her. But she made up for it in class, with the time she took to help you understand. All in all, I really enjoyed this course, with this instructor, and recommend either and/or both.

    Course highlights:

This course was a great review of what I learned during my highschool days. Not only a great review, but went a little more in depth in certain areas. It also introduced me to statistics. I can't say that's a preferred subject of mine, but it helped me understand the basics of what statistics was about. Had I pursued statistics, this class would have done a great job introducing me to the material.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Give it the time it requires. Don't skip class. It helps to see problems done in person. Skipping class doesn't aid in gaining knowledge/an education. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Questions were invented for a reason. If you need help, and you can't/don't have time to speak to your instructor, don't hesitate to look for help online. But don't cheat! You only cheat yourself if you do.
