Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
This course is probably one of the most fun math courses that you will ever take. I loved it because it gave me the opportunity to use math in a lot of real world applications. Some people are hesitant about math classes, but this class is fun and useful too. I would encourage everyone to take it.
Course highlights:
The highlights for me were being forced to think outside of the box and using math skills that usually aren't part of standard curriculum. The end of the course was fun because we had a project where we had to explain/perform a complex real world math problem to the rest of the class.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Just be patient with learning and ask lots of questions. The best thing you can do it go to the teacher to help because he was available most of the time to help you to understand certain things. Also, use the internet because I found tons of useful tutorials that were helpful to me and classmates.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I recommend this class because the teacher is great! You all know how hard it is to find a good math teacher. Mr. Zollinger can teach math, and he makes it quite entertaining. The material also helped me to think outside the box and to see how math applies in my everyday life. I loved that.
Course highlights:
This course helped me to better visualize abstract ideas like the forth dimension. We learned about fractals and after that and since I have been able to see them all around me. The math I learned in this course I've been able to apply into my life more than any other math class I've ever been in.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Just read the book and go to class. You'll be fine. Also, enjoy it, because it's so much fun. One more thing is that the teacher is more than happy to help his students.
