    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Orihel comes off intense and a little bit intimidating; however, she has a great sense of human, fantastic knowledge of the subject, and a perfect history professor. She knows how to tie in the past with the present in a way the students understand.

    Course highlights:

We started at the beginning with Christopher Columbus and ended with the Civil War.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take hand-written notes and remember her little jokes that she slips in to remember concepts in a funny way.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes, and do the reading, also learn the term.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It is typically a requited class and if you have a tougher schedule this would be a good course to add into your schedule as it isn't very difficult. You do learn the basics of American History and the work load of the class is minimal.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the early roots of American history which is something that has always interested me all the way up to around WW2. History has always been interesting to me and so this was a good course for me to enjoy as i took it as it didn't take a lot of work so i could focus on my more difficult classes but also learn in this class and keep caught up.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just make sure you show up to class, if you show up to class and pay attention then the tests will be easy for you to take.
