Not too easy. Not too difficult.
CSIS 1000 goes into the basics of using a computer and basic applications like word, excell, powrpoint, and photoshop. If you know anything about computers, most of it is really easy and you probably know how to do most of it. Also, feel free to take the online version. You will still meet in person a few times, but really, it's not any easier if you go to the class in person vs. just do the assignments with the book.
I did gain an increased knowledge on how to use the aformentioned programs, especially excell. But I also learned how to use a windows computer, and, as a Mac girl, that was actually kind of useful. It was really hard to be trying to learn that WHILE I was trying to do assignments though.

Advice for students:
Find out which sections are using mac and which ones are using PC! It's fine if you specifically want to learn the other system, though I don't particularly recommend it. Find out which sections do which, buy the book (or borrow it from the SUU library, they have extras behind the desk you can borrow for short periods of time) that corresponds with the system you chose to study, and your life will be SO much easier.
