    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    The Professor was extremely helpful and was always making sure that the students knew how to do the required course material. She was always willing to stay after hours and respond to emails to help students comprehend material.

    Course highlights:

    I understand music theory on a new and more broad perspective. It is extremely helpful in the furthering on my music knowledge.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Be prepared, on time, and study. Find a friend to study with and make your own examples as well as doing the assigned homework. The only way you can truly understand is by trying to do something yourself.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

    Dr Jones is an excellent professor who tries to make music theory and engaging topic, rather than something we just have to suffer through.

    Course highlights:

    A great foundation of music theory principles were taught in this class, including first and second species counterpoint.

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

    Do you homework as soon as you can after class so that the concepts stay fresh in your mind and you are able to apply them.
