    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend taking this class. The course is interesting and Professor Dowling creates a fun learning environment. The professor uses the textbook a lot, so it is important to do the reading, but he also uses his personal experiences, and the experiences of guest speakers as additional teaching tools. This is the type of class that students are excited to go to every day and the knowledge obtained from it is useful in many other courses.

    Course highlights:

As my first business class, this introductory course was thorough and easy to understand. Professor Dowling was able to obtain a happy medium where new business students could easily follow along and students that were more advanced did not get bored. I learned a lot about the international business market and about strategies used in the global market. I still regularly use terms and ideas that I learned in this course. The textbook was straight-forwards and thorough, and provided really good examples.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The main tips that I have are to read the textbook and attend class. Before each exam, I would go back through the relevant chapters and take hand-written notes on everything I had highlighted and rewrite my notes from class. This combination was a great studying tool for each of the exams.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is a great introduction to the world of business and the dealings internationally. It was well set up and the material was easy to follow.

    Course highlights:

I thoroughly enjoyed the group project aspect. We worked with the same group through the entire semester. Creating our own business plan using the concepts from class solidified understanding.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be to attend class every day and take thorough notes. Many of the exam questions refer specifically to lecture material and the opinions of the professor.
