    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Mr. van Dijk is an educator that is talented at breaking complicated subjects down to be more understandable.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of the field of Biology, such as cellular reproduction, and concepts in molecular biology such as DNA replication and protein functions, all without having to focus on writing notes.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You don't need to focus much on taking notes. In fact, I found myself learning less by distracting myself with taking notes.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because of the immense detail that is taught throughout the course, expanding from a microscopic level of a cell all the way out through an entire semester. It is mind blowing to think back on. My struggles with Biology beforehand was more-so due to a lack of information, always asking the questions "why," and "how?" By piecing together all of the information and letting the course continually grow throughout the semester definitely helps make for an intriguing understanding of the subject matter.

    Course highlights:

For obvious reasons, this course taught me a lot about a cell and its functions. Although, I actually believe I gained better study tools and time management skills due to the amount of information covered throughout the semester while being expected to recall all of that information come time.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend to approach this subject in a well thought out manner, to use your time wisely. It is better to study intensely for 30 minutes and to actually understand the information covered rather than spend up to eight times that amount of time by effortlessly flipping over note cards time and time again. Yes, this course takes time, but even more importantly, make that time valuable and useful.
