Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I though that this was the perfect course to take my freshman year of college because it took old readings and actually applied them to our everyday lives. It was a discussion class so there was never any judgement if you did not interpret a story the same way as someone else. It was a free space to talk about your thoughts and how you thought your lesson could be taken out of the classroom.

    Course highlights:

Dunie was an amazing teacher who liked to play Devil's advocate, no matter what you were trying to argue. He really helped me to fully develop my thoughts and organize them in a cohesive way. I always remembered what we were learning about because he made it so applicable.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the readings!!! And actually talk in class because you will get so much more out of it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is an excellent introduction to business philosophy, which prepares you for more in-depth courses later in your academic career.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the evolution of commerce through the lens of a philosopher. We studied some of the oldest philosophers' ideas on markets and capitalism, and how their early revelations shaped the commerce-driven world we live in today.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Doing the assigned readings is imperative to succeeding in this course! If you understand the textbook material thoroughly, you can do well on his midterm and final. Also, make sure you have a group of determined students for your group papers, as he grades tough and they are a large portion of your final grade.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, because it takes you out of a traditional classroom setting and requires you to form your own thoughts.

The highlights were definitely the discussions we had in class! I learned so much from taking philosophic thoughts and transforming them into real world meanings.
