This class was tough.
This course will prepare you for your career. Many classes that students take in the Undergrad are excellent for preparing you for the C.P.A. exam (which is excellent), but Scott really focuses on teaching you how to think about the principles based on his experience as a CFO. Many friends of mine have taken his class and they have nothing but positive things to say about it.
The entire course was based on consolidating financial statements due to a merger or acquisition. Most professors (I imagine) would teach the course in a way that forces you to memorize journal entries. Scott teaches you have to think through the transaction. He helps you reason through decisions that many of us will have to make at some point in our career.

Advice for students:
You must attend class. You must pay attention, as you WILL get behind if you don't. You must ask questions. You must study hard for the tests. It sounds awful, but I promise it will be one of the most rewarding classes you've ever taken.
