    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Please please please, learn some programming! This course teaches C for MatLab and Arduino in a very neat but challenging package. If you are planning to be an engineer or wish to learn how to program robotics, I seriously suggest this course! However, it's not easy for everyone, just make sure you keep up on the homework, it is extremely comprehensive. For the semester project, you can team up with a partner.

    Course highlights:

C for MatLab and Arduino: You apply the math you've learned to MatLab and learn how to build and program a ping pong ball cannon that uses image processing and math to target its projectiles. There is a competition at the end of the semester where students attempt to launch ping pong balls at holes on a flat platform.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Please keep up with the homework, every week the homework builds on the past homework's programming. If you don't keep up, you will fall behind extremely fast! I suggest you take 2 hours for each day on the weekend to hammer out the kinks in the code so that it's ready by Monday. DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE NIGHT BEFORE! Also, if you have a friend, make sure you are in the same lab so that you can be in the same 2-person lab group for the final project.
