Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course is interesting and Dr. Markley is a very smart woman. There was a lot of work involved, many worksheets and daily 'clicker questions' -- this may seem like a lot of work but she really prepares you for your exams and the accumulative final. I would highly recommend taking principles of biology from Dr. Markley, just keep in mind that you'll have to put in a decent amount of work and take notes!

    Course highlights:

Pay attention to the learning objectives! This class really covers the basics of biology and what you need to know to move onto higher classes. She states what you will need to pay attention to at the beginning of every chapter so you know what to be on the look out for notes wise!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

LOOK OVER THE LEARNING OBJECTIVES. Start on your papers early :)

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class covers a ton of material but it is all very interesting. You learn a lot if you put in the time. Plus, Dr. J is really great at working with students in helping them to understand the material and to get a good grade.

    Course highlights:

I liked how we learned how the body works and how microscopic parts of the body work together.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the study guides before the tests. Also go over some of the stuff before hand on your own. It is very hard to keep up with her pace in class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I learned so much from this class. I personally do not like Dave very much, but he is a good professor. I would recommend reading his book, even if it seems repetitive. And I ABSOLUTELY recommend going to the TAs as much as you possibly can. There is a lot of information and it is practically impossible to learn it all on your own.

    Course highlights:

Dave typically has 20-30 TAs, so it is easy to find someone to work with, and it is easy to find one/a few you like and can learn from.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

GO TO TAs!!!!! I also recorded lectures and went iver notes again. This helped a lot.
