Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you are a nursing major, this is a required class, but it is very interesting. Professor Heemstra uses Health and Medicine as a major focus, which made it easier to understand and actually relate it to real life, specifically nursing.

    Course highlights:

I had never taken Organic Chemistry before, so this class was a little difficult to start. I was a little lost on what everything was and nothing made sense. But, Prof. Heemstra was very good at describing the little details and incorporated an online assignment each week with practice problems, which helped me understand it a little better. I also loved how there were so many TA hours and SI sessions I could attend to fully understand the subject.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY! I bombed my first test... I didn't think I should study that hard because I thought I understood it. Really dedicate some time to studying for this course to fully understand the information. This shouldn't be a breeze class, work hard and you'll get an A. Attend SI sessions, go to TA hours, ask the professor questions! You'll do great! :)
