Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Dr. Abel knows her stuff. Her course is designed to help you learn the information, but more importantly, to help you succeed. She cares about each student and tries to learn each person's name.
I gained a deeper knowledge of sociology, particularly how inequality affects our lives and our society. I also learned more about my personal beliefs through studying others'. One highlight of this course for me was my decision to minor in Sociology Teaching.

Advice for students:
Read the material. Some of it is long and difficult, but most of it is very interesting and relatable. Dr. Abel expects everyone to read so the class is more discussion based than lecture, which always makes things better. Participation counts, not so much for points but to improve the quality of teaching and learning. Also, don't wait to do the big assignments. Start early and they really aren't that bad.
