Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it really does change your way of thinking. It helps students better understand the physical and scientific world we live in. Tom Lachmar is an excellent instructor. He keeps the class room lively and explains concepts in a way that helps the students think on their own and be successful in class.

    Course highlights:

The highlight for me was the lab. I really enjoyed applying classroom concepts to actual work in the lab. If you take this course I would highly recommend taking the lab along with it. It really helps students understand the real life applications to concepts taught in class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The exams are often objective and require you to know the vocabulary. Once you have read the chapter make sure you know all the vocabulary words. Once you know the vocabulary words you will be able to get around an eighty percent on the exams. Once the vocabulary words are familiar you will be able to answer the more complicated questions and get very high scores on exams. When reading exam questions be careful and thoroughly think things through, you are able to answer more questions than you realize. I would also recommend studying old exams to realize the mistakes you make.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It's an introductory class that is interesting and fun. I really Dr. Lachmar. It's not too hard to do well in the class- which is always nice!

    Course highlights:

You learn about basic geological principles. I did like learning about the various natural disasters that can occur as well as how the earth works.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study everyday. It's easy not too, but the tests aren't very easy.
