    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

He is a very good teacher, he teaches with passion and is super understanding. The class itself is hard, but that's what makes it so much more satisfactory when you finish it.

    Course highlights:

He was very passionate about his Hispanic roots. It's a grammar class, but we also watched a lot of documentaries from around Latin America, and it was so cool to gain all that knowledge.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Get ready to read. A lot. And write. A lot more

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course. After taking this course, my Spanish has risen to a new level. I can now write, read, and speak better Spanish. Dr. Lopez teaches according to your needs. He is always willing to help you better your Spanish.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Lopez sets up his class so it meets the students needs. He also ensures that you get an equal amount of everything: speaking, reading, and writing. The highlights of the course was writing essays in Spanish. I found writing an essay in Spanish an overwhelming task, but Dr. Lopez ensures you that you can do it. He helps you along in the process. We also did debates in this class. By doing debates, my vocabulary increased, I learned about more world problems, and increased my ability to accept and respect others opinions.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed, you need to really study how to properly put accent on words in Spanish. Knowing accentuation is key in this class because you have bi-weekly quizzes on it, and all of your written responses are graded on your accentuation and grammar. I would also suggest that you find someone that will read over your written work before you turn in your assignment. This will help ensure you don't have grammar or accent mistakes in your homework.
