    Course Overview:

    Sonia is amazing! She makes phonetics and phonology so easy and fun.

    Course highlights:

    Learning how to do an IPA transcription was the most beneficial part of this course. After taking this class, I was really good at transcribing. It was so helpful for my career!

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Transcribe every day. Practice, practice, practice.

    Course Overview:

    For an online course, it offered a good deal of hands-on assignments involving watching videos of and evaluating child speech. Professors and TAs were very responsive and helpful.

    Course highlights:

    Doing case studies in evaluating child speech through videos, and writing treatment plans.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Do the practice exercises in the book in order to internalize and understand the phonetics concepts discussed.
