Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Roegiers explains the diffrent concepts really well. You do diffrent activities to help to you gain a better knowledge of the MLA style and how it is to be written. Everything that you are doing is helping you to be able to do well on your final research paper. He is not too worried about what you write about as long as you are doing your best and improving.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to best cite a source without having to worry about plagiarizing. I learned different ways to engage my audience. How to keep them interested no matter if they are closed minded, open minded or somewhere in-between. Keeping your audience engaged and interested in important when you are writing a paper, especially when you are writing contrary to what they believe.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the writing ahead of time, and follow the advice that he gives you. He will be looking for those things in your finial paper. Go to class, he talks about things that he doesn't always put on Canvas. There is sometimes extra credit offered in class. Your grade depends on your attendance. Put in your best effort and you will do okay.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Dyer is well informed but not overly strict. She provides time for learning as well as some fun. The course was fairly relaxed, even for a summer semester, and I felt that we kept on schedule. We worked towards the final paper all semester and Professor Dyer was always willing to give us advice.

    Course highlights:

I really believe that the highlight was Professor Dyer's teaching style. She wasn't overly strict or lax, but found a good median. I learned how to construct a well crafted paper that would help sway a specific audience into my views.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to write, as it is an English course, but don't be overwhelmed, it is structured well and guides you through the writing process.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I'm a mathematics major and I was so excited to take my last English course but Professor Beck made me sad that it'll be my last one. He made it enjoyable and the assignments left a lasting impact.

    Course highlights:

You will write 3 essays but the topics you can pick. You are given a structure and it's amazing to see what kind of essays can be written. For instance, for one essay structure, one kid wrote about the popularity of the song "Gangnam Style" while another wrote about the Civil Rights Movement.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to write the essays.
