Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved learning more about our natural world around us and discovering more about the intricacy of the unseen molecular world. While this course was challenging it pushes you to learn a lot more than an average high school chemistry course.

    Course highlights:

While this class does not include a lab my professor did do surprise demonstrations for us as special treats. I also really liked the textbook that was assigned to this course, it was easy to follow along to and it explained some of the abstract concepts very well so that I felt like I had a solid grasp on them.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You will need the textbook and a scientific calculator. I would recommend making sure you do the provided test reviews and textbook worksheet packets, they seem strenuous but they really do keep you on track to know everything for the tests.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was able to teach the basics of chemistry with out being confusing. And built up your confidence that you could do well in a more advanced chemistry class.

    Course highlights:

Learning about bases and acids, how they interact with each other and how they are in our everyday life.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in lecture and do the homework and read the book for the stuff you don't understand and you will be fine.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this class, especially as a concurrent enrollment course. I took it as a junior in high school and it really was an amazing class to take and helped teach me how to study more efficiently.

    Course highlights:

Through this course I learned the basics of chemistry on a college level, and I learned how to study. Studying in this class is essential to get a good grade. Also I learned the value of taking detailed, neat notes and how good those are to review the day before the test.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to anyone considering this course is to get nice lined notebook, pencils, a periodic table, a conversion table, and a good graphing calculator. Notes are a key to getting a good grade, the tests are quite difficult so study. Study your heart out and you will do great. Also the calculator will be used a lot so be sure to get one.
