Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mathias is a wonderful professor! He explains things well and is always willing to help you understand things better if you ask. In the course itself, I found that it was critical to start assignments early. That way, you have more time to ask questions about problems you will inevitably run into and have a less stressful experience overall.

    Course highlights:

This course taught about pointers, which were really confusing at first, but that I now use all the time. Mathias taught them early on and we worked with them through the rest of the semester which was great. In this class you also learn about classes in much more depth and expand on what you can do with them. At the end of the class, you are introduced to the Binary Search Tree data structure which is a basis that is heavily used to teach concepts in CS2420 (CS 3).

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Start assignments early! And don't be afraid to talk to the professor or go to the tutor lab.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a very fundamental course for engineering and computer science majors, and it will test your problem solving skills better than any other course.

    Course highlights:

This course goes much deeper into the things one can do with c++ programming. Students will learn very important topics such as dynamic memory allocation, vectors, link lists, binary trees, and pointer variables.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Start the homework assignments in advance!! They are very difficult and time consuming!
