    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    Great professor, really wanted everyone in the class to succeed.

    Course highlights:

    Basic public speaking. The proper way to form a speech.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Make sure you go to every class. Missing classes is the reason most fail.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    Personally the course would be great if it were taught by another professor, but Mark Merkely is too focused on the Speech Showcase at the end of the semester and he doesn't teach you anything that will be on the exams. That along with he is very opinionated so the topics you may choose could offend him and he isn't afraid to call you out on it during class.

    Course highlights:

    I did gain some better public speaking techniques but not much more.

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

    Take it from another teacher. Every other teacher that you take will drastically improve your class experience.

    Course Overview:

    It's a great class, full of life changing principles, morals, and learning. It became a group of friends who supported each other and helped each other pass classes and tackle hard things.

    Course highlights:

    I learned how to apply and effectively persuade someone towards my opinion. I also learned what the basic principles of public speaking and communicating

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Never miss a class. You have to show up nearly every time to get an A. He is a tough grader, but only because he wants to help you succeed.
