Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Paustenbaugh goes over the topics very well and teaches them in different ways so that the are easier for a large audience to understand. She is quick to respond to emails and has office hours available to help with specific problems a student might have. The class is interesting and interactive.

    Course highlights:

In this class I learned the building blocks of chemistry and gained a better understanding of how the world works. I also learned important time management skills and study techniques. I learned how to better work in groups and collaborate with my peers.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class I feel it paramount to devote time to it. You need to be willing to put in the work, even when it seems tedious. You need to know how to study. The best study method I found was the 50-10 method, where you spend 50 minutes studying and then have a 10 minute break. You also need to be willing to ask questions and utilize the resources (professor, tutors, fellow classmates, SI, etc.) that are available to you.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course for someone who loves to work in groups because most of the class time is solving problems with others and asking questions. Homework is done online and as long as you stay committed to the online homework you can pass this class.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Herzog really prepared me for college chemistry and gave me the basic knowledge that I needed in order to advance my education.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class ask any questions that you have to make sure you get the right answer and make sure to do the online homework because it helps a lot.
