This class was tough.
I felt like this was a good course to take especially if you like the online format. I didn't use the book at all and just used the tutorial to study. You have an online program that is your lab every week and then you have 4 exams and a quiz every week. You are even allowed to take an exam of your choice that you did bad on again at the end of the semester if you wish to try and improve your score. If you are happy with your exam scores then you don't have to take a final. None of the exams are comprehensive. I felt like the professor was very quick to get back to me on emails and explained things very well.
You spend a lot of time doing calculations regarding chemistry and I would say about 50% of your exam questions are calculations. You also dive a little into organic chemistry as well as salts, pH, gas laws and a lot more.

Advice for students:
I had a notebook with all the different types of math problems that were brought up in the tutorials and then knowing how to do the quiz problems is critical. The quiz problems weren't always things you went over in the tutorial but they give you 3 tries with the quiz and if you still miss them then the professor will explain how to get the right answer. If you can get those down then you will do well with the exams. You do have to study a lot in this class. I typically spent 15+ hours per week with this class and got an A.
