    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this teacher for any of the courses, but this was my first real college course and led me to go into computer science. The teacher showed the class that what we were learning could be applied to solve problems in a fun way.

    Course highlights:

I was able to make simple games using a programming language and was able to apply the concepts being taught. It is difficult, but learning is meant that way so we can grow.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Start early on the homework and ask for help before the deadline. The teachers are glad to help, but do not do it at the last hour.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It covered all the basics of Java programming in an easy-to-understand manner. Professor was friendly and very willing to help.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of Java programming, which included basic syntax, methods (commands), and how to make "simple" programs such as a program that simulates the card game WAR.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Java is not something you can really just read from a book and "get." Practice programming if you have the time. It'll make the in-class assignments and homework easier, and less time-consuming because you won't make rookie mistakes as often.
