This class was tough.
Course Overview:
I think this is a great course, required a lot of work and attendance every time if you wanted to learn the material. It was a hard class for me, but if you are going into this stuff it should be fine.
Course highlights:
We learned about how to do calculus. We learned te principles and how you do the problems, but we also learned how to apply them.

Advice for students:
Work hard, do the homework, and always study for the tests by doing homework problems.

I would recommend taking this course because it really helps you with engineering courses and overall a math influenced career. The materials can be tough but if you set aside time to study and really work through problems you should comprehend easily.
Course highlights:
This was one of the hardest courses I have taken so far and it taught me so much, not just about the math but about myself. Calculus was a new type of math I had never seen and in the beginning I just felt like I wasn't going to be able to do it, but I learned that I can really push myself and overcome difficult challenges.

Advice for students:
This course can be rough if you decide to not put in much effort. But if you take the time to study and do all of the homework then you can really become a great calculus student. One tip would be to read ahead on material for next class so you know terms and outline of materials.

I liked the applied mathematics paper we were required to write and the professors jokes.

It is very important that you understand Trigonometry before taking Calculus. The class will be a lot more difficult if have to teach yourself Trigonometry during the class.
