    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I enjoyed this course as it had invaluable information for communicating when entering the job field. With social media, it's easy for young people to forget that they need to speak as professionals. This was a gentle and fun reminder. For the speech portion, choose something you are already familiar with and elaborate your knowledge. This will speed up the class as well as ensure a quality speech.

    Course highlights:

Pay attention to the vocabulary in the reading material. Don't try to speed through it. It's important to learn but also important for the test. The reading will help you understand the tasks as you work through them. Be as thorough as possible when working through the first written tasks as they outline the speech and will save you time in the long run to give them their due diligence. Also, if you're struggling, do not be afraid to reach out to your student mentor and especially the course mentors. They are there and they want to help you through this class. Good luck!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the text that's suggested. Spend enough time on the outline tasks. Take your time and breathe when you're recording your speech. It's a fun class if you pick something to talk about that you're interested in.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I went into this class thinking it would be mindless drivel. But there was so much good, beneficial information! Basic communication skills that every adult should know or possess.

    Course highlights:

The class gives you tools for effective communication that can be used in every aspect of your life: with your spouse, boss, coworkers, children, people of a different opinion. It made me realize how important GOOD communication really is in every aspect of our life.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the reading! Don't go into this course thinking it is unimportant information that will be boring. Go into it with a positive attitude and a desire to learn how to communicate better in all the different areas of your life. And don't skip over the reading!
