Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The curriculum is an excellent review of the issues faced by elders. It covers the health problems faced, resources which can help older people to age with a positive attitude and maintain a high quality of life, even when faced with chronic conditions and diminishing physical abilities.

    Course highlights:

Recent advancements in assistive technology can delay loss of independence and autonomy. While I was vaguely aware of some of the technological advances made in recent years, the curriculum was very up-to-date and specific on this topic.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Even if the course is unfamiliar, take the pre-assessment before reading or studying course material. Your results will generate a Coaching Report, allowing you to identify areas of weakness and strength. Focus on the weak areas. Spend little or no time reading subjects in which all questions were answered correctly.

the highlights of this class was the genomics I loved learning the changes in actual chemical breakdown changes as we age. I learned how to focus my care for the older adult, how to asses for dementia, and how to provide age appropriate care that allows the elder adult to have autonomy of health care.
