Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

English Composition is a course, I admit, that I thought was going to be a lot easier than what it has been for me. This class first requires the students to write a thesis statement and do an annotated bibliography for 10 sources. Once the annotated bibliography is completed the course requires the students to write a persuasive paper.

    Course highlights:

This is a course that I am still finishing, but it has definitely challenged my writing skills. I have never had to do an annotated bibliography before, so this class has expanded my knowledge in this portion of the writing process.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

My advice for students considering this course would be to find a topic that you have a passion for. The next step I would recommend would be to write the thesis statement and write up an outline for the paper. Then, when searching for sources, discover which paragraph of the outline the source fits under. This will help the student to know that the source they found, they will be able to use. When I started my paper, I realized that some of the sources I thought I would be able to use were not usable.
