Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It teaches the foundations of education, how it started with dame schools and worked it's way up to magnet, public, and private schools. It also shows the different types of teaching philosophies which is essential for any teacher to be to know and decide on what sort of teacher they wish to be.

    Course highlights:

I learned the different types of schools and how they each have positive and negative aspects to help their students learn and grow. The different teaching philosophies and teaching techniques which help you begin to decide how you want to teach your children and the type of teacher you want to be. You also begin to learn about the the Common Core Standards and how certain government programs such as the No Child Left Behind Act will affect you as a teacher. I also loved that my Course Mentor (Professor) gives you a study guide for notes and flashcards to help you study.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

This class gives you a detailed study guide for you to take notes with and important definitions to memorize to pass the class. Fill out all the information as detailed as possible and memorize and review every chance you get.
