Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Berghdal is one of the best professors at San Diego State University. If you ask him questions and show interest in the class, he will help you in any way possible. He loves when students go to his office hours and seek help because it shows that those students are studying hard and are genuinly interested in the subject.

    Course highlights:

After three semesters of General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry contained a lot of new material, but felt like we were finally focusing on a single subject instead of being scattered all over the place. For instance, in General Chemistry, we did not just focus on chemistry, but we also incorporated a lot of material from biology and life sciences in general. Therefore, to finally have a single focus and learn new and interesting material was not just refreshing, but also eye-opening into the world of chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This is not an easy class, so study hard and you will do fine. Also, do not just memorize, but make sure you understand the material because sorry, if this is a terrible news, but more likely than not, you will also take Organic Chemistry II (Chemistry 432). Thus, the material you learn in Chemistry 232 is used and repeated in Chemistry 432 and if you do not understand the material, pure memorization will not help you in the long run. Good luck with you studies!
