Not too easy. Not too difficult.
First of all, Dr.Lee is a brilliant guy, I just want to put it out there. Second of all, I think he'S too conservative in term of teaching new concept. If he doesn't understand it, he won't teach you that. He rather teaches you a long way to solve a problem than a shorter way, just because he doesn't get the short way. Doing homework would help you understand the concept a little more than just taking note. His way to solve a problem is often different than the book. Pick the one that make sense to you the most.
Not much actually. I was lucky to learn this course material in my community college EE210 with an Electrical Engineering. He showed us the practical/everyday problem and how to approach it as an Engineer. We are interested in the result more than how to get to it, so we used the shortest way we could find to get us the result we were looking for.

Advice for students:
Being ready to learn by yourself, attend to class lecture to take note, read the book and the note to choose which way you like the best/make sense to you to solve a problem (sometimes the professor has a shorter way to solve a problem).
