Pretty easy, overall.
This course is a very easy introduction to the concept of politics and the issues facing the US and the world today. If you don't understand certain concepts they are explained in depth during the discussion classes with your TA.
King is an excellent lecturer and this course really makes you question your own ideologies including your opinions on democracy, class, and economics. He also provides really credible, accessible data and readings to support his lectures. A large portion of this course is focused on inequality and class so I definitely learned a lot about that and how that issue is evolving and dealt with in the American political and everyday landscape.

Advice for students:
As long as you go to almost all of the classes including your discussion section the class should be fairly easy. The two essays that King assigns are fairly opinion based and even if you are unsure about it the TA's will probably preview them for you. He provides notes on Blackboard that you can fill in during class and these are good to go over before the midterm and final, but he also gives you the essay questions for those exams prior to the test.
