    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was my first clinical course and with a new professor, I felt like I was really challenging myself especially going into the course not knowing what to expect. Dr. Gates teaches what we really need to know, and prioritizes the basics which I feel is really important. Other students complained that we didn't get to administer medication, but I don't think it was a big deal since we'd be able to do that in the future anyways.

    Course highlights:

Clinical was the best! Because it was the first clinical rotation, the anxiety and excitement really made the rotation even more special to me. Nursing really isn't what a lot of people expect. It's about being there for patients and trying to give them your attention to improve care as opposed to just checking in on them every so often and giving them meds at the right time.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

GO TO LECTURE even if others say it's okay not to! You'll learn a lot more than you think!
